Actor Srinivas Murthy, upset that the producer did not call him to the press meet of Aptharakshaka spoilt the mood in an otherwise good programme. The press meet of Vishnuvardhan's last film Aptharakshaka was held in a hotel in Bangalore on Monday.

Director P Vasu, producer Krishnakumar (Krishnaprajwal), music composer Gurukiran and actors Srinivas Murthy and Komal were present. The mood was melancholy as everyone remembered their memories of working with Vishnuvardhan. But Srinivas Murthy was more worried about who called him for the press meet. Krishnakumar and director P Vasu had divided the invite list between them.

The director called Srinivas Murthy and it was enough for the actor to be upset with that. He made no bones about the fact and demanded that the producer should have invited him and not the director. This left a bad taste but the others present did not drag the issue and kept their silence and the issue died there. Murthy even criticised the producer for other reasons that were not related to the invitation.

While everyone involved in a film talks about being one family, a senior actor like Srinivasa Murthy with his child like demands proved that film personalities carry a heavy load of ego. A problem which could have been solved behind closed doors was unnecessarily dragged into public domain.
