It was all due to the magnanimity shown by Mandahaasa producer Basava Reddy and KM Veeresh its who decided to  transfer the rights of  the song after  getting the  full version  of  the efforts taken by Prathap Gowda to record this song from Ashaji.

The entire sequence of events leading to the recording of this song on February 2  and  the subsequent events that followed  will certainly make a nail bating story itself.

Rajesh, KM Veeresh, S Basava ReddyIt all started with both Manikya film director Prathap Gowda  and music director  Veera Samarth kept on convincing Ashaji for nearly eight months ago.  Finally when Ashaji accepted track of the song Jothegaara was sent to her. Ashaji also wanted to confirm the meaning of each word in the lyrics written for the song.   She contacted many of her friends who knew Kannada and got to know that the lyrics written by Raghavendra Kamath was good. Then after persistent efforts of Samarth and Prathap Gowda, Asha Didi agreed to sing the film and the recording date was fixed  on  February 2.  But somehow the producers of Manikya and director Prathap were unavailable till the last minute, but Asha Didi had already permitted that a song can be recorded on February.  A nervous Veera Samarth contacted Basava Reddy  two days before  the recording of the song and pleaded with him that the song can be recorded for his film, as Asha Didi had liked  the song  and  the possibility of  her singing for another film may not happen in future.

Basavareddy was really amazed at the request by Veera Samarth who was also the music director of the film.   He had finished the shooting for  all the five songs of the film by then.  However he had agreed to include the song for the film only after Samarth said that his entire efforts would be vapoured out if  he did not  record the song on February 2.

When the news of Asha Didi's recording reached the media in Bengaluru, it made very big news.  The items were flashed in websites and print media and was also shown in the Television channels.   After this huge publicity build up for the song,  Prathap Gowda was really  in tears to see that  his  eight months efforts had  resulted in such a huge embarrassment  for him.

On 6th February 2010 Prathap went and met  K.M. Veeresh, Editor of Chitraloka portal who was also involved in Mandahaasa.  Veeresh, Prathap, Veer Samarth, Basava Reddy had a meeting at chitraloka.com office. After hearing all the versions Veeresh and Basava Reddy had realised that it was Prathap Gowda's efforts that  had  benefited their film.

"I did not have any claim over the song, as the entire cost of the song was borne by Basavareddy.  I just requested him. But both Reddy and Veeresh proved to be  great individuals and showed  their magnanimity in  giving me the rights of this song.  I will be extremely thankful for their gesture' says Prathap Gowda.
