A cinematographer from Chennai has complained that he has been cheated by the producer and director of the film 6-5=2. Magesh, the cinematographer who has worked in a few Tamil films says that he Is the original cameraman of the hit film but has been denied a name in the title card as well as denied his payment.
He filed a complaint with the South Indian Cinematographers Association which has forwarded it to the Kannada Film Workers, Technicians Federation. Magesh says he worked for the film in December 2012 and January 2013. He shot for the film in Coorg. He was promised a payment of Rs 1.5 lakh. But he was paid only Rs 55 thousand. The balance of Rs 95 thousand was not paid to him.
Magesh says he still has SMS exchanged between him and the director over payment issues. He says it was a low budget film that was originally planned to be made with Rs 15 lakh. Magesh says he gave all the ideas about how to shoot the film without artificial lights and naturally.
