Komal Kumar is back and this time it is with a film that is a complete package. Lodde is a complete entertainer that packages a good story, lively narration and an interesting star cast. The film cannot be bracketed in any particular genre. It is a commercial masala film as well as a family drama, a love story and a comedy film too.
Something unique about the film are the two songs at the beginning and the end. One is about left handers and the other is a tribute to Vishnuvardhan. Both are very entertaining and though they are not part of the story, they give the film a very good packaging.
The basic plot of the film is about uniting two friends who have become enemies for over 20 years due to misunderstanding. Komal is the grandson of one of these friends who has to now reunite not just the friends but also their families. How Komal as Narasimha manages to do this with the help of his girlfriend forms the rest of the story. The girlfriend is none other than the granddaughter of the other family.
