To
highlight the event beginning tomorrow the man behind the mega event
K.M.Veeresh disclosed that he has been collecting photographs since
five years. He expressed his thanks to KFCC, Kannada film industry,
Newspapers, well wishers and PRO's who helped him in making this
event. In the exhibition there will be another section that displays
250 rare photographs. All the photographs displayed will be available
in CD format. This will be brought out to market by Anand Audio.
The useful seminar on this occasion has been arranged at GM Rejoyz.
It is called as 'Maha Manthana' 16 th of August 4 pm informed KM
Veeresh in his address. He also urged the public not to touch the
photographs displayed as it is the master record of his collection.
The
Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce President Gangaraj lauded the
effort of KM Veeresh and said his work should enter the Guinness
Book. This exhibition is a role model for others he felt. Without
seeking the help of the government of Karnataka he has taken the
extreme strain in forming this event and KMV should be honored Gangaraju
said.
When such a fine idea was mooted by KM Veeresh the film chamber
came forward for the place and we wanted this occasion to be a part
of the industry event said Vice President of the KFCC Sa.Ra.Govindu.
The acclaimed director of national and international repute Girish
Kasaravalli is the brain behind 'Maha Manthana' the seminar organized
by GM Rejoyz and Chitraloka jointly. Jnanapeeth Award winner Dr.U.R.Ananthamurthy
would chair the different kind of seminar.
Focusing
on the seminar Girish Kasaravalli said in the history books on Indian
cinema the contribution of Kannada cinema is not recorded in proper
perspective. This type of seminar and exhibition would throw light
on such paucities he said. Why the Kannada filmdom is not getting
the right share and what should be done would come up in the discussion
he said. The intention of 'Maha Manthana' is to look in to various
problems faced and solution to it. Where we lagged behind and what
areas we have to improve would be looked in to in this seminar he
said. Actress Malavika will conduct the four hours seminar at GM
Rejoyz at 4 pm on Wednesday. It will be attended by T.S.Nagabharana,
B.Suresh, C.Ashwath, Sudharani, Manohar, S.V.Rajendra Singh Babu,
journalists Poornima and Ismal. The noted producer and bureaucrat
I.M.Vittalamurthy who had seen nearly 2000 films out of 2550 films
would make the inaugural speech throwing light on past and present
of Kannada filmdom. We have intentions to make this a video of this
event and it is likely come out in book format said Girish Kasaravalli.
The chief sponsor of the event Mr Mruthyunjaya, proprietor of GM
Rejoyz said he wants to indulge in the Kannada filmdom and take
up intellectual debates like the one he is holding 'Maha Manthana'
on 16 th of this month at his GM Rejoyz digital theatre. Hailing
the effort of KM Veeresh he said it is not the money that becomes
important on this occasion. To showcase the filmdom what is required
is the effort, interest and support he felt.
Day one of the exhibition after the inauguration is open for the
film and television industry, media and invitees.
From 15th of August till 20th the exhibition is for public free
of cost. The timing is from 10 am to 6 pm.
Come and have the glimpse of the Kannada filmdom in this mega event
conducted by the mega portal for Kannada cinema.
